Rose Electronics was established in 1984 and is based in Houston, Texas. Its products are used in cars, boats, trains, planes, weapons systems, 911 emergency consoles, and television stations. Partners and co-founders Peter Macourek and David Rahvar own the company. To date the site does not indicate if the company is inc., ltd. or llc. Recognized as the pioneer of KVM switch technology, Rose Electronics offers the industry’s most comprehensive range of video, audio, and USB products such as KVM switches, Fiber/CATx KVM switches, USB extenders, Video Wall Controllers, Multiviewers, Video Splitters, Digital KVM IP, and KVM Rack Drawers. Rose Electronics products are known for their quality, scalability, ease of use and innovative technology. The site redirects to ‘How to buy’ for ordering products, by phone. There are about 140 SKUs available for online purchase on B&H Photo site.

1- Website Review Summary: Rose.com

In March 2001 the domain name rose.com was purchased back from Rose Internet held since 1992 and the original domain rosel.com registered in 1996 has been redirected to rose.com eversince. The current design dates back to May 2018. The domain contains 702 indexed URLs. The site is not https protected. The site is structured to resize to desktop browsers size, and mobile. The site does not have social media accounts links. All expected content in terms of policies FAQ, Glossary are well laid out. The search functionality works well. Credits footer date not updated. 2- Testing:

Lighthouse mobile:

73/100 Performance – 78/100 Accessibility – 83/100 Best Practices – 86/100 SEO

GTMetrix desktop:

Largest Contentful Paint 1.5s – Total Blocking Time 0ms – Cumulative Layout Shift 0.1

3- Points for Improvement:

Total Page Size: 745KB. Although the source code contains a Google Tag, and a company profile exists in Google My Business there is no map snippet of the company in Google search results. It would be recommended to have the site rebuilt to follow latest guidelines in design and browsing standards. As well as an active presence in social media accounts and news articles, white papers on products would help greatly for indexing and improve position in Google search results.
