Latest SEO audit analysis I did on #Glensound, discussing content, UI/UX usability issues, Web Presence Optimization, and good practice guidelines.

Glensound Electronics Limited has been operating since 1966 as Glen Sound, the company was registered in Kent England in January 1978. Led by Marc Wilson Managing Director and Gavin Davis Chairman as of January 2021. Glensound products includes broadcast and security intercoms, RF communications; rack-mounting, powered loudspeakers; cellular contribution systems; portable mixers and location accessories; source selection and distribution amplifiers; audio over IP; audio Dante; ISDN contribution units, terminal adapters and codecs; tone and message generators and active monitor loudspeakers.

1- Website Review Summary:

The domain name was registered in July 1997 as well as in May 2012 but dating back to 2000. redirects to only from http and not https URLs. The current design dates back to January 2014. The site is https protected, and the http key is correctly redirected. The site is cross platform compatible and mobile ready. Social Media company’s accounts are active and links present on the homepage. The Linkedin link goes to the Glensound Team profile and not to the actual company page. The search function does work correctly. The “become a distributor” and “become a reseller” pages are still showing “under construction”. Ideally “Technical Support” should mention it is an email link as it would be expected to be a page link. As for the translation plugin this is as of 2020: “Google is resuming support for the Google Translate website translator widget and making it free for non-commercial use.”

3- Points for Improvement:

Total Page Size: 1.74MB. The latest hero image for this month’s NAB show needs to be optimized.  Javascript and images need to be optimized. The site was redone in 2014. The Structure and performances need to be updated to follow latest recommendations and guidelines to improve optimization and SERP keyword position. News and articles need to be updated with more recent content. The structure of the site is done around an e-commerce structure to make use of the products tabs (descriptions, specs, downloads..) but the quote basket and customer account login is not used nor required.
