Comtech was registered in May 1987 by Fred Kornberg President at the Board of Directors and in January 2022 he was succeeded by Michael Porcelain, the current CEO. Fred Kornberg, has been with the company since 1971, and CEO since 1976. Comtech is based in Melville, New York. Comtech Telecommunications Corp. designs, develops, produces and markets products, systems and services for advanced communications solutions. The Company operates through two segments. The Commercial Solutions segment includes Satellite Ground Station Technologies and Public Safety and Location Technologies.

The domain name Comtech.com was registered in March 1997, in addition the other mainly used domain comtechtel.com was registered in November 1996. Out of the 24 plus domain name variations registered by the company, some are used and some are in construction, for further see list in the Privacy Policies page. It appears that Comtech was recently redesigned, as ComtechTel is regularly updated in terms of content but displays an outdated design. Both sites are protected with https encryption. Not certain if the company intends to merge all content into one domain, the most obvious choice would be Comtech.com but the older site does contain very recent updates and current documentation. As it stands keeping Comtech.com and updating it as a unique website, ideally all content in Comtechtel.com be migrated and domain be redirected. The current and recent design for Comtech.com does show some design issues, the search function does not provide results for any queries. In regards to clarity, it is not clear why the company has two company profile pages in Linkedin pointing to the same website Comtech.com. One is named ‘Comtech Satellite Network Technologies’ and the other ‘Comtech Telecommunications Corp.’. All social media company accounts are somewhat active and surprisingly for this industry has a TikTiok account with a corporate video.

Total Page Size: 5.88MB. With 12 images over 100kb in size to be optimized and with two over 1mg. The site meta description shows only the company name and should contain more information about the content. The Google My Business profile exists under the name Comtech Telecommunications and with the link to ComtechTel.com. The profile could be updated as well as some inactive social media accounts.
As mentioned, the overall structure of this large public company should be done in a way to clarify the company’s products and services.
