Latest SEO audit analysis I did on #Arrakis_Systems, discussing content, UI/UX usability issues, Web Presence Optimization, and good practice guidelines.

Arrakis Systems Incorporated was registered by Michael Palmer in March 1982, Benjamin Palmer has been named the president of Arrakis Systems, following the death of his father, founder Michael Palmer. Siblings Aaron Palmer and Melissa Freeman also work at the company, in software development and automation respectively. Based in Loveland, Colorado Arrakis Systems is a leading manufacturer of electronic and furniture products for the radio broadcast and Internet streaming industries. Founded in the mid-1970s, Arrakis Systems has been a technology leader in digital automation, high-quality modular furniture systems, and broadcast consoles. Today, Arrakis remains at the forefront of high tech engineering and manufacturing design. Arrakis consoles are used worldwide by the United States Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine Corps. They have products sold all over the world. They are designed for durability and quality, and its sales history speaks for itself.

1- Website Review Summary:

The domain name was registered in March 2012, and it redirects to registered in June 1997. The first website launched was in January 1998, the current design dates back to 2018 with minor changes to the previous version. The site is protected with https, the http url is not redirecting to https. The html page structure is outdated and the sticky header menu could be improved. As product ordering forms are requests for quotes, the Buy-Now products and the cart goes to a Paypal portal. Social media links go to Facebook and Youtube channels, both not very active. The Linkedin company’ page is autogenerated and not claimed yet. The site is not cross platform responsive, nor mobile ready as a custom design page for mobile is redirected. Making the site responsive would not require the footer link to the mobile version. Domain search shows 326 internal pages indexed. The site is well documented with product information in pdfs. In support video tutorial link is missing and New Wave section is missing a few pages. The site’s footer does not include copyrights nor term pages. The site’s title does not mention any tag line, only the company name.

3- Points for Improvement:

Total Page Size: 2.39MB. 6 images are over 100kb and could be optimized.  As Google has been clear on Mobile first indexing, it would strongly be recommended to redo the site to follow current guidelines and recommendations.  A blog,news and articles section would be best as well as news releases on products and announcements. It would be important to keep social media accounts active, as well as updating and claiming the company Linkedin profile page, as currently it does not contain much information and list only Allen Harrison the General manager as sole employee of the company.
