Latest SEO audit analysis I did on #DanaDolly, discussing content, UI/UX usability issues, Web Presence Optimization, and good practice guidelines.
Mike Hall, owner at AZG Partners llc. which discontinued rental services at AZGrip.com llc, has been leading Dana Dolly for 39 years and the company is based in Glendale Arizona. After making similar dollies for years for friends, Mike Hall and Dana Hall have decided to simplify the design, and modify the components and composition to make the entire system easier to use and more affordable. Since 2010 made out of composite material the Dana Dolly systems have become for years the reference for many production companies, cinematographers and videographers.
1- 𝐖𝐞𝐛𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲:
The site DanaDolly.com was made on the Godaddy web platform in march 2016 with the latest addition in mid 2020. The site is not Https secured and all internal links are Http. The site is mobile compatible. Although readily available in all major online distributors there is an e-commerce ‘Shop’ subdomain to place orders. Hero slider shows images dated back to 2011 and 2016. Aside from impressive testimonials on the ‘in-action’ page, there are no news/blog updates. No social media links. The company’s Facebook page exists but is not regularly active, nor any Linkedin company page. The FAQ page has important information but shows a graphic design issue at the bottom of the page.
The mobile site link to location provides a link to the company’s address in Queen Creek Arizona but Google My business company profile does not seem to have been claimed.
2- 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠:
Lighthouse mobile:
85/100 Performance – 42/100 Accessibility – 77/100 Best Practices – 92/100 SEO
GTMetrix desktop:
Largest Contentful Paint 3.5s – Total Blocking Time 71ms – Cumulative Layout Shift 0.01
3 – 𝐏𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭:
Total Page Size – 3.51MB. 5 images all over 100kb to be optimized with one hero slider image of 2.29MB.
The site being built and hosted on Godaddy, speed is up to par with Google guidelines but the overall design is outdated and needs to be redone. For ease of browsing and adding important missing information, for instance footers links to sitemap, privacy policies, terms and conditions, cookies terms, purchase and returns policies. Lastly, regular updates on social media platforms and news/blog posts on the site discussing clients, applications, and how-to videos would be recommended for gaining online authority.
